This performance takes place in between two screens directed at the audience. I imitate my parents having an argument, jumping between an imitation of my father on one screen, with a webcam filter beard, and an imitation of my mother on the other screen with a webcam filter hair style. I run between screens to continue the dialogue, back and forth, mimicking their mannerisms, and conversation style, I take on their roles and accents as ‘they’ argue about me. The costumes/filters for each parent, sourced from an online webcam, run laggy and the program struggles to identify my face for a suitable fit of each item. your text here...

I place myself in my parents positions and attend to the parts of me that have been passed on by them. The dialogue addresses their concerns for my well being, and they begin to blame each other for my struggling mental health. In this performance, I ridicule both their attempts at trying to ‘solve’ my issues and verbally and physically tire myself out in the process. Their filters linger on my face as I leave the screen with each line, never being able to fully be just myself, for longer than the seconds where I transition between the two of them.
